FAQs

Where are you based?

We’re a private facility based on Charlwood Court in the Manor Royal Business District in Crawley. We have been established for over 10 years now and came under ownership with Dawn & Anna in 2022.

What makes your offering different to a standard gym?

So much! We are a semi-private gym offering small group training sessions with a coach or trainer. Unlike traditional gyms, semi-private gyms offer a more personalised experience with individualised attention from a coach. Ultimately, that is why we’re a bit more costly than a standard gym - but you will receive dedicated support and coaching every time you visit (AND outside of the gym too).

You will have a workout plan based on your goals, fitness level, and any injuries or conditions, and a coach will still be there to ensure you’re performing all the moves correctly, it is just in a small group setting (typically 3-5 clients). You still get a fantastic level of support, and your weekly check-ins are totally private, but the gym experience is just a little more community-focused. 

Can I still work out on my own?

Yes! We offer Open Gym hours for members to work out on their own time in addition to your nutrition & fitness plans and group workouts.

Do you still offer personal training?

Yes! For most people, our gym is the perfect mid-point between a standard gym and personal training, but sometimes personal training is preferable for the client, it depends on the person. This is something we can discuss and figure out what is the best option for you. 

How often should I attend semi-private sessions?

It depends on the plan set out by your coach - we’re super personalised! You can incorporate home workouts, Hyrox workshops, group circuit training and lifting seminars alongside your personalised fitness plan. Generally speaking, we recommend attending semi-private training sessions at least two to three times per week to see progress and achieve your fitness goals, but ultimately, our coaches will work with you to develop a schedule that fits your lifestyle and goals.

What if I fall off plan?

We don’t necessarily believe in this - you shouldn’t be ‘on’ something for a certain period of your life, ‘on’ a diet, ‘on’ a plan… you should be living your life! If you fall ‘off’ plan, that’s because what you’re doing isn’t sustainable for your lifestyle! Always be honest with us so we can help modify your goals around your lifestyle. Life is full of ups and downs, and we’re here to support you through the process whilst helping you smash your goals!

How do you keep me accountable?

However works best for you! We can have face-to-face chats, we have a nifty app we can speak to you on, or we can have a chat on WhatsApp. We really do mean it when we’re flexible around you. If you need a firm hand, let us know! If you want someone who’s going to be more of a gentle support to make small changes to your current lifestyle, that’s fine too. You get out what you put in, and we’re here to make that happen.

How do you calculate my nutritional needs?

All will be covered in your initial 1 to 1 chat - we’ll speak about your dietaries, and your habits, and we’ll get some body measurements, including visceral fats, water weight, and all your internal workings to give us a good picture of what level of fitness you’re at. We’re all qualified Precision Nutrition Coaches meaning we provide advice that promotes long-term change, not just a quick-fix meal plan. 

What else does the gym offer?

Alongside our nutrition & fitness plans and semi-private coaching, we have a range of workouts including our Hyrox sessions, Women’s Weekend Workout, lifting seminars, and group circuit training - ALL within your membership fee! Coach Anna is also a qualified pre-and postnatal coach for you pregnant ladies and new mums out there. Looking for something a bit more low-key? I need something a bit more bespoke… maybe 1 PT session a week with someone online coaching. How can I do that? 

Just ask! We really do believe in creating something bespoke - if it’s not personalised to you, then it’s not going to work for you. Pop us a message today and see what we can offer.

Who are some of your partners?

We’re proud to be a Hyrox licensed gym, a MyZone partner, and be affiliated with Precision Nutrition. We also have a strong alliance with the ethos and principles of OPEX Fitness, their nutrition guidance and lifestyle practices.

Are you female-only?

No! Whilst we’re a female-owned gym (and incredibly proud to encourage women everywhere to lift weights and gain confidence), we are about a 50/50 split between male and female clients - the same with our coaches! Our male coaches, Neil, Ash and Ali are all super qualified in everything Hyrox, CrossFit, Olympic lifting and a bit of rugby too. We are pleased to have a great balance across our gym and believe our ethos to encourage EVERYONE to lift and feel good in themselves helps to create a friendly community.
